The chaos of printing the document from the printer by connecting the individual computer to it is now over after the launch of smart Wi-Fi systems like Linksys Velop. You can connect your printer to the network wirelessly and start printing the documents without actually connecting them to any computer. The steps for the same are discussed in the post. You can read and execute these steps on your wireless printer.

Velop Setup
To begin with the setup process, you must follow the guided manual available in the packing of the router. If it is not available, nothing to worry just download the Velop app on any smartphone and configure the router with a single click from the app. You can download the android app from play store and iOS app from apple store and is available for free to download.
How to set up a wireless printer on Linksys Velop?
After connecting the printer to the router wirelessly, the hectic of connecting the printer to each system will be eradicated and you no longer need to go to the same room where the printer is kept. Steps for connecting the printer to the Velop are:
- The pre-requisites which are necessary for the setup must be available.
- The wireless printer ought to support WPA/WPA2 network encryption.
- Linksys Velop must be in ‘ON’ State
- Linksys Connect app should be available on a computer.
- The distance between the router and the printer must not exceed 6-7 feet.
- Install all the drivers and software related to the printer on the computer prior to starting the setup.
- Go to ‘Programs’ now from the control panel of your computer and click ‘Linksys connect’.
- Go to ‘Computers and devices’ from the home screen of Linksys connect.
- Go to the ‘Connected printers’ section and select your printer.
- You are required to enter the username and passkey of your Velop router on the next screen. This will enable the printer to connect to the network. If required, you can note down the network credentials at a safe place like ‘Notebook’.
- Open ‘Printer’ now and add additional configurations as required on the given page.
- Click ‘Next’.
- Once connected, ‘Successfully connected’ message will be flashed on the screen.
- Click ‘Finish’ to complete and exit the setup window.
After implementing the above-mentioned steps, if the printer is still not connected to the network, then check the settings configured so far on your printer. Sometimes, there are some settings which don’t support particular printers. Change those settings and try connecting to the network again.
